We also go to Ngorongoro Crater, the best location in Tanzania to see the Big Five and a breathtakingly beautiful setting. After our safari, we take a flight to Zanzibar, where the Indian Ocean’s white sand beaches and warm turquoise waters are waiting.

Day 2 – Tarangire National Park
Our private safari guide will pick you up from your accommodations in Arusha in
the morning. We traveled across gently rolling Masai plains with sporadic acacia
trees toward Tarangire National Park. We pass many Masai in their vibrant
clothing walking along the side of the road, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and
pulling donkey carts as we speed along. Numerous other animals can be found
in the Tarangire National Park, which is well known for its sizable elephant herds.
We explore the seasonal swamps, savanna, and life-giving Tarangire River from
the open roof of our safari jeep in an effort to spot a variety of animals, including
zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. We might catch
a glimpse of lions pursuing prey or leopards unwinding in the trees above. We
drive to one of our mid-range partner lodges for dinner in a classy restaurant and
a most spacious room to harbor our comfort and dreams of wild cats after our
lengthy game drive. Accommodation: Tarangire Tortilis Camp

Areaverdant highlands. Our destination this morning is the well-known
Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa seven wonders and a UNESCO World
Heritage Site. Following our arrival at the crater rim, we descend a narrow, steep
path into the 600-meter-deep caldera where we can see a variety of wildlife,
grasslands, birds, and a lake. Over 25,000 mammals, including some of the
region's more than 500 bird species and the "Big Five, can be found on the
enormous collapsed volcano. We will drive you to your hotel in Karatu for dinner
and the night after a long game drive and a picnic lunch in the crater.

Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of
Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, Salt Lake. It covers a large area of
the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of
flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park, you
will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and with
some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse
landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate-filled woodlands and
baobab dotted cliffs. After lunch, you will head back to Arusha, where you will
arrive in the late afternoon where you will take your flight to Zanzibar.

Day 5-7 Zanzibar North Coast Explore; Relax
You be taken to Nungwi. This sprawling community at the northernmost point of
Zanzibar Island was formerly well-known as a center for dhow construction.
Today, a popular tourist destination in part because of the gorgeous beach
and breathtaking sunsets. The end result is a setting where traditional and
modern styles collide fiercely. The main draws here are diving, snorkeling,
fishing, and other water activities. Most frequently dived sites from Nungwi are
along the east coast, at Mnemba Island, and at reefs close to Tumbatu Island.
